ولد في كربلاء المقدسة. كاتب صحفي اصدر جريدة الغروب عام ١٩٣٥ في كربلاء. ثم نقلها بعد ٦ أعوام إلى بغداد واسماها جريدة الأسبوع/١٩٣٨ واستمرت لغاية ١٩٤٦. ثم اصدر فيما بعد جريدة المناادي ١٩٤٨ في بغداد. وأبدل اسمها فيما بعد إلى الأنباء المصورة وقد استمرت لغاية عام ١٩٥٢ وبعد ثورة ١٤ تموز ١٩٥٨ عين مديرا لجريدة الوقائع العراقية في بغداد.
